It is almost Memorial Day, which we usually associate with summer, barbecues and maybe a visit to a flea market. Below are seven flea markets in the Hudson Valley:
Stormville Flea Market
428 Route 216, Stormville, NY 12582

The Stormville Airport Antique Show & Flea Market is located at an abandoned airfield in Southeastern Dutchess County. It was started in 1970 with just a couple of dozen vendors, and has grown to more than 600 vendors coming from 8 states, and is surely one of the most popular and largest in the area.
With so many vendors, you will be sure to find what you are looking for. You will find both new and used items, some unique vendors, and plenty of food vendors with dining areas, and children play area.
The flea market season lasts from April to November, with six shows per year, usually during holiday weekends. Their schedule for 2015 is:

In addition to the flea market, they also run two large yard sales every year. The dates for 2015 are June 20 and September 19. In fact, it seems that every time I go to the flea market, the neighborhood would take advantage of the traffic and hold yard sales of their own. If that is what you're interested in, save some time after the market to drive around. Follow the signs in the neighborhood and continue your treasure hunt.
Beacon Flea
Located at 6 Henry Street, Beacon, NY. Just behind the Main Street Post Office.
Sundays from 8am-3pm, April through November
Free admission and free parking
The Beacon Flea Market attracts a variety of vendors selling vintage collectibles, household items, antique curiosities, and hand made art and crafts. Highlights include colorful glassware, trunks and furniture, estate sale and house clean-out, vintage designer bags, vinyl, books, retro cookware, hand-made jewelry, and local antiquities.
A visit to the flea market can be combined with a visit to Dia:Beacon, shopping and dining on Main Street, a visit to the Beacon Farmers Market by the train station, hiking up Mount Beacon, and more. Hastings Flea
Hastings Train Station Parking Lot
Second Sunday of every month from April - November, 10am-4pm
In its third season, the Hastings Flea include vendors selling vintage furniture and clothing, handmade jewelry and crafts, and more. In addition to shopping, every flea market features live music and entertainment for children and adult, and local food trucks, making it a community event.
After visiting the Hastings Flea, you can also spend the day visit the shops in Downtown Hastings. The flea market dates for the rest of the year is:

Mower's Flea Market
Maple Lane in Woodstock, one block from the Village Green and behind Bread Alone

The opening day for Mower's Flea Market in Woodstock is this Saturday, May 16. Family-owned and operated for almost 40 years, the market is situated on two acres in downtown Woodstock. You will find antiques and collectibles, crafts and jewelry, food and plants, home furnishings, and books by local authors.
Phoenicia Flea
If you are up in the Catskills, you may be able to visit the Phoenicia Flea, a monthly event with a curated list of vendors. At the flea market you will find handcrafted food, drink, confection, jewelry, apparel, accessories, apothecary, housewares, vintage and more. The flea market will be held on Saturday and Sunday, 11am-7pm on the following dates:

Middletown Flea Market
128 Dolson Ave, Middletown, New York
Saturdays and Sundays 9am-6pm year round
The Middletown flea market runs indoor, and runs all year with over 200 booths and a large food court. There are special events some weekends too. There will be a petting zoo at the flea market over Memorial Day weekend, from May 20-24.
Dutchess Marketplace
Dutchess Mall, Fishkill, New York
Saturdays and Sundays
The Dutchess Marketplace is another indoor flea market that runs all year round. It moves outdoors during the warmer months. The indoor flea market has 100,000 square foot and have space for 400 vendors, while the outdoor market can accomodate over 300 vendors.
Rinaldi Flea Market

Outdoor market on Sundays, April to November
Rinaldi's market is run by Bill Rinaldi, who also runs an auction firm and appraisal business. The flea market runs every Sunday from April to November, featuring furniture, tools, antiques, records, books, jewelry, and clothing.
