Whenever we are craving a burger in Rockland County, we usually visit the Burger Loft in New City. It is located at a small strip mall the end of Main Street in New City, visible from Route 304.
The area is definitely not lacking in burger options. Within 10 minutes drive you will find Five Guys, White Castle, and Smash Burger. For a sit down service place, there is the Zinburger at the Nanuet Mall. My family seems to gravitate towards the Burger Loft though, because there are always other choices if one of us do not want a burger.
They have several variety of burgers featuring mushroom, avacado, bbq flavors, etc. For me, my favorite is the buffalo burger. The buffalo sauce on the burger is just the right amount of spicy to add a punch to the overall flavor of the burger. The fries need to be ordered separately, and the fresh cut fries are maybe the best among all the neighboring burger places. There are also different dipping sauces that you can try.
On the menu are also salads, chicken wings, fish tacos, a kids' menu. They are also known for their excellent craft beer menu and milk shakes.
The vibe of the Burger loft is like a sports bar, with a long bar and tv. If you do not want to sit at the bar, there is a section with long wood tables and booths. The section is decorated with an exposed brick wall, tea lights on the table, and Christmas lights hanging on the wall. On a nice day, there is also a nice outdoor patio in the back.
