The Town of Warwick is located in the Southwestern part of Orange County, bordering New Jersey, and includes the Villages of Warwick, Florida, and Greenwood Lake.
Warwick is a rural community with a charming downtown in the Village of Warwick. Driving through the town, you will find vegetable, dairy farms, and horse stables along the hilly country roads. There are many apple orchards and wineries also.

There are some shops and restaurants along the Village of Florida. The Village of Warwick, however, is much more sophisticated and happening. You will find a range of eateries, antique stores, boutiques, and an independent bookstore in Warwick.
Known for its apple orchards, he Village of Warwick hosts the annual Warwick Applefest on its downtown streets. It is a very popular event in October, and attracts up to 35,000 visitors each year. The village also hosts many events in addition to the Applefest, including a farmer's market, lady's night out, a summer concert series, the Warwick Arts Festival, the Hudson Valley Jazz Festival, horse and carriage rides in the winter, etc.
There are lots of outdoor opportunities for recreation. You can visit Greenwood Lake, the largest lake in Orange County with a sandy beach area. The Stanley Deming Park offers sports fields, swimming, sand volleyball, and ice skating in the winter. In the winter people can head to Mount Peter for skiing and snowboarding.

Warwick is approximately 60 miles from Manhattan. If you decide to take public transportation to New York City, you will have to drive part of the way, and then switch to a Metro North train at Tuxedo or the Coach bus. There may be more trains running if you drive further to the stations in New Jersey to catch the train.
Driving to other parts of the county, you will mostly use the New York State Route 17A or NY 94 to access major highways. In town, you will mostly be driving on scenic but small local country roads.

The Warwick Central School District has one of the highest test scores in Orange County. The district has four elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. Students living around Greenwood Lake may go to schools in the Greenwood Lake School District. Greenwood Lake does not have a high school; instead the students will go to high school in the Tuxedo School District.
