Hudson Valley Events this Weekend

It is officially summer, and it is hard to believe June is right around the corner. There are many any fun, outdoor Hudson Valley events this weekend. Let's take a look!

Hudson Valley Festivals This Weekend:

At the Kensico Dam in Valhalla, the 18th Asian American Heritage Festival will take place on Saturday from noon-6pm. You will find events representing Chinese,Indian, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Indonesian, Malaysian, and Burmese cultures, live music and dance performances, children's entertainment, Chinese paper cutting, origami, and of course food. 

The 53rd White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival will take place this Saturday and Sunday at Tibbits Park. The WPOAF has become the largest source of art scholarships for White Plains High School seniors who are committed to continuing their education in the arts.

The 2015 Dutchess Family Fest is set for Sunday, May 31 from 11am-3pm at Dutchess Stadium at Wappingers Falls. This family expo provides parents and future parents up-to-date information on activities and services throughout the Hudson Valley. Family Fest at The Dutch is a FREE community event. 

The 7th annual Millbrook Literary Festival will be held on May 30, 2015. Over 50 authors and illustrators will be participating in panel discussions, readings, and signings throughout the day at the Millbrook Free Library and outside. You can also visit the Millbrook Farmer's Market that runs from 9am-1pm, and enjoy a day of shopping and dining at the quaint town

Pennings Farm Brew Fest Warwick NYIf you are in the mood of drinking, over in Orange County, you can visit the Pennings Farm Market in Warwick for their Brew Fest on May 30, Sautrday. You can sample 30 to 40 different brews from across the country like Rushing Duck, Singlecut Beersmiths, Ballast Point, Evil Twin, Troegs, and Greenflash. Enjoy a day tasting great beer, spent on the farm. 

At the Benmarl Winery in Marlboro, you can bring your family and enjoy wine and live music at their Sheep Sheering Celebration on Sunday, May 31 from noon-6pm. They will also have a dinner and comedy show event with Tony Darrow on Saturday, May 30th from 6:30pm-10:30pm.

Hudson Valley Carnivals

Sleepy Hollow High School, located at 210 N. Broadway, will host their fun spring carnival this weekend. Classic rides, games, and delicious food will be sure to attract fun-loving people of all ages. The carnival will take place from Friday to Sunday. 

In Tuckahoe, The Church of the Immaculate Conception School will host its annual carnival from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon. Click here for more details.

In Rhinebeck in Dutchess County, the Primrose School will be hosting their annual spring faire. You will find food, hay rides, farm animals, live music, bunny hutch, and more!

The Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Clubs will host their carnival and safety fair on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5-8pm. Activities include carnival games and prizes, face painting, photo booths, bouncy houses, live DJ, FREE Dinner and more!

Additional Activities in Westchester County

Don't forget it is the last weekend to catch the Lightscapes at the Van Cortlandt Manor! This Sunday, the Bronx River Parkway will close for cars from 10am-2pm for Bicycle Sundays. The Parkway will be exclusively for use of bicyclists, joggers, walkers, scooters, and strollers.
