The Heritage at Goshen development is a community of single family homes located in the Village of Goshen in Orange County, New York. One phase of the homes were built around 2005, while a newer phase, the Woodlands at Harness, are still being built in 2015. There are two-level colonial homes, and one-floor ranch style homes. The Harness Estates is located just inside the Village of Goshen, which is the county seat of Orange County New York. All the schools in the Goshen school district are within walking distance to the development.

Goshen is known as the well known as the birthplace of harness racing. The Harness Racing Museum and race track are located in the Village, and hosts summer concerts and competitions. 

A short drive away, nature lovers can explore, fish and hike at one of Orange County’s many state parks like Harriman State Park and Schunnemunk Mountain State Park. Stewart State Forest is also just a short drive away. You will also find beautiful apple orchards and wineries nearby, and skiing at Mount Peter in the winter.

Harness Estates in Goshen Commute

Harness Estates is easily accessible to major highways, including Routes 17, 87 and 84. You can access NY-17 quickly from the development and onto I-84 within 10 minutes. This new home community neighbors Chester, Monroe, Middletown and Warwick. 

Shopping at the Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets, or shopping at Middletown, is around a 20 minute drive away. Stewart International Airport is less than 30 minutes drive away.

Resale homes for sale at the Harness Estates were built around 2005. The homes are 3-4 bedroom single family homes, on lots mostly 0.25 acre and up. Most of the homes were sold in the mid $300,000s. 

In 2015, the resale homes for sale at Harness Estates include a 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch with 1980 square feet, sold for $330,000. The property taxes is $12,035 per year. A 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath colonial home with 2062 square feet sold for $370,000. Both homes were built in 2005.

For the new homes for sale at Harness Estates built after 2013, at the Woodlands at Harness, there are one-floor ranch style homes for sale, and two-story colonial homes for sale.

The Amherst Model, the ranch style home, offer three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Amherst model features a large kitchen, vaulted spacious living room, formal dining room, large closets, full basement, 2 car garage and a large front porch.
