Barnett Hills - 1 and 2 bedroom condos built around 1969. 

Harriman Hills - a townhome community located in a private, woodsy setting. The condos were built in 1975. The condos at Harriman Hills are either 2 or 3 bedroom townhomes

Timber Hills - 2-3 bedroom townhomes built around 1990. The development is located on a scenic hill, and offers a swimming pool, clubhouse, tennis courts and playground. 

Pine Ridge - 2-3 bedroom homes built around 1995. The development is located next to the Timber Hills development. The condos were built in around 1995. 

Cromwell Hill Commons - A very well maintained community in Monroe, built around 1986-1990. The condos at Cromwell Hill Commons are either 2 or 3 bedroom condos, located on one floor. The amenities offered include a heated swimming pool and clubhouse, and a playground.

Meadow Glen - a newer townhome community built around 2003-2006. The townhomes at Meadow Glen are 3 or 4 bedroom, three story homes with a garage, walk-out basement with patio. AThe community many amenities, including a swimming pool and clubhouse, exercise room, tennis courts, and playground. 

Mansion Ridge - Mansion Ridge is a golf course community located at the Mansion Ridge Golf Club. Perfect for golf lovers, the community offers both townhouses and single family homes. The townhomes for sale at Mansion Ridge are very spacious, at over 2500 square feet. 

Hidden Creek - The building of the homes started around 2011, and some were built later. The townhomes at Hidden Creek are 3 or 2 bedroom+den, three story homes with 2-car garages, walk-out basement with patio.

Woodbury Heights is a subdivision of 116 condos. There are condos in one-floor, and some are in townhouse style. The homes are 2 bedroom 2 bath at just around 1000 square feet. The community offers beautiful landscaping and a swimming pool. Some of the condos include a garage. 

Timber Ridge is a large development of townhomes. The homes were built in 3 phases, from 1977 to the mid 1990s. Residents at Timber Ridge can enjoy the recreational facilities on site, including a playground, swimming pool, tennis courts and basketball court.

Strawtown Farms is a townhome development, built around 2001. The townhouses for sale in Strawtown Farms are 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath units at 1569 square feet. The townhouses are of duplex style, so each home has its own private backyard and side yard. 

Living in Monroe NY

There are a range of outdoor opportunities in Monroe. Parks with lake views can be found around the Mary Harriman Park, Mombasha Lake, and the Arrow Park and Lake resort. The Smith's Clove Park has sports fields and nice picnic areas, and allows for sledding in the winter.

In the center of the Monroe Village, you will find the Crane Park, where residents can go for a lovely jog around the pond. For a longer run or bike ride, it is the beginning of the Heritage Trail, which is a 12-mile long trail that offers beautiful scenery and connects to Goshen and Chester.

The Woodbury Commons, a popular outlet, is just located very close to the high school, located in Woodbury. Most shopping can be done on Route 17, where you will find all the big box stores you need: Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc. at the Harriman Commons and other shopping centers.

Monroe NY Commute

New York City is around 60 miles away from Monroe, and requires a drive of a little over an hour, depending on traffic. Most of the commute in town passes through NY-17, which connects to I-84 and I-87. 

For commuters, there are great public transportation options available for commuting to New York City. The Metro-North Harriman train station is have frequent trains to New York City. The train commute to New York City is around 90 minutes, with commuters usually transferring in Hoboken or Secaucus. There is also a Short Line bus route that connects Harriman to Port Authority in New York City.
