Quaker Mill at Cornwall Lifestyle

Cornwall is quiet and beautiful town with Hudson River views, and also wonderful mountain views of the Storm King Mountain. Compared to adjacent neighboring towns, Cornwall has more of a small town feel. There is a small village center area that brings you back in time, with shops and restaurants among historic buildings. The village is walkable, and the main street brings you to the waterfront. The village is quite active and hosts several events, including an Independence Day celebration, Christmas tree lighting, etc.

The town also organizes many activities for all its residents young and old, including classes, bus trips, etc. You can enjoy boating and kayaking, and maybe paddle for an excursion to the nearby Bannerman Island at the waterfront.

In addition to river views, the Storm King State Park offers many hiking trails that offer viewpoint after viewpoint of the Hudson River and the Catskills. Driving on Storm King Highway (Route 128) towards West Point is especially enjoyable during the fall, where commercials and movies have been shot.

To mix a bit of culture with the outdoors, the world-famous Storm King Art Center is located in the Storm King State Park. It is a 500-acre outdoor art museum and sculpture park that features works of 20th century artists. Visitors can stroll or bike around the park to view the works, which makes a fun outing for the whole family.

Cornwall Commute

Cornwall is located about 50 miles North of New York City. There is public transportation to the city via the Salisbury-Mills Cornwall train station on NJ Transit, which takes around 1 hour 20 minutes to Hoboken NJ.
