Suffern is a village located in the town of Ramapo in Rockland County, along the New Jersey border. It is an attractive suburb for its convenient location to North Jersey and New York City, good schools, and housing prices relatively lower than that of Northern Jersey, and of Westchester County across the river.
Suffern has a walkable downtown. Many of the residents enjoy shopping and dining along Lafayette Ave, and the fact that the train station is also walkable.
