Carmel School District Homes for Sale

Over 4000 students attend schools in the Carmel School District in Putnam County, New York. It covers a large area, and crosses the border to the North across Dutchess County, where some of the students around East Fishkill also go to the Carmel schools.

To make things confusing, many of the students who live in the Town of Carmel go to the Mahopac schools. Most of the students in Carmel Central School District actually live in the Town of Kent. 

In the 2012-13 school year, there were 358 students in the graduating class at Carmel High School. 90% graduated in four years from that class, with 58% of the students moving on to a 4-year college, 27% plans on attending a 2-year college, and 15% plan to join the military or work.

The SAT averages were 492 for critical reading, 500 for math, and 490 for writing.
