The Pleasantville School District has about 1,840 students in the district. The district encompasses most of the Pleasantville village, parts of Mount Pleasant and some houses in Chappaqua. The district is rather compact, and does not offer school bus for students in the village.

Each of the Pleasantville School District’s three schools has been recognized as a state and federal “School of Excellence.” During the 2012-13 school year, the 4-year graduation rate at Pleasantville High School was 96.1%. 82% of the graduates planned to attend a 4-year college, with another 14% attending a two year college.
