The Retreat at Carmel is a luxury active adult 55+ development located in Carmel, New York, amidst rolling hills and rivers and lakes, and just across the border of Westchester County. The community is built by Pulte Homes. Some of the homes in the development were built around 2008, and a newer phase was built after 2015. The community offers both condominiums and townhouse style homes.

For larger shopping centers, the Danbury Mall is 10 miles away, plus chain stores like Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and Walmart.

Carmel is about an hour and 15 minutes North of New York City, 30 minutes North of White Plains, 10 minutes from Connecticut and the City of Danbury. There are access from the town to 84 and 684. Route 6, 22, and 202 are the local road throughout Carmel and towards Westchester. 

The closest train station is the Brewster Metro North station, 10 minutes away. A ride during normal weekday hours is around 80 minutes, and the trains usually run every half hour. There is also the Southeast train station, just one stop North of Brewester station.
