Commuting from Greenbriar is easy. New York City is about 45 miles south, and can be accessed by I-684 and the Saw Mill River Parkway, both easily accessible. For residents who prefer public transportation, Metro North stations are available in nearby Purdys, Goldens Bridge, and Croton Falls stations.

The residents at the Greenbriar Community enjoy maintenance free lifestyle, and use of the two community swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball court, and playground. The Clubhouse and the pool are the principal gathering spots for residents to meet and socialize. Walking and bicycling are also very popular. As of 2015, the monthly association fee is around $300 per month. There is an additional fee for sewer and trash removal.
