The town of Lewisboro is located in the Northeast area of Westchester County. It is consisted of six hamlets: Lewisboro, Goldens Bridge, South Salem, Waccabuc, Cross River, and Vista. Although it is only 55 miles away from Manhattan, you get a blend of country and small town living that is unlike the typical suburb.

There are seven lakes in the town that accounts for 1.3 square miles. Lake Waccabuc, Lake Waccabuc, Lake Oscaleta, and Lake Rippowam are interconnected. Lake Waccabuc is the largest and most well-known. All the lakes create a beautiful landscape in this town among the hills and horse farms.

Outdoor lovers would love visiting 4,500-acre Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, partially in Lewisboro, which is the largest park in Westchester. There are also four town parks, with a total of 179 acres. 

There are several small strip malls in Goldens Bridge, Cross River, and South Salem. For more shopping options, people usually go to Danbury, CT 25 minutes away. There are also downtown shopping and entertainment in downtown Katonah, Mount Kisco, and Ridgefield CT.

Lewisboro is around 50 miles North of Manhattan. To take the train to New York City, there is a Metro North station in Goldens Bridge. The train to Grand Central station takes approximately 70 minutes during non-peak hours. 

Driving to other areas, you will mostly drive on the local roads, and then connect to Saw Mill Parkway and 684. Therefore many people prefer to live close to 684 for easier access.

The public schools in Lewisboro are part of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District. John Jay High School and Middle School of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District are located at Cross Rivers. The high school has a great reputation and has one of the highest test scores in the county and in the state.
