Mohegan Colony is a historic lake community surrounding Mohegan Lake in Northern Westchester County, New York. The community was started in the 1920s as a summer resort for New Yorkers. Mohegan Colony is about an hour north of New York City and 30 minutes north of White Plains. It is just a few minutes from Route 6 and the Taconic State Parkway. 

For those who prefer public transportation, there are Metro North stations on both the Harlem and Hudson Line close by. The train stations at Goldens Bridge, Mount Kisco, and the Peekskill are all around 10 miles away.
