The Hamlets condos and townhomes community is located in Nanuet, New York. It is a large community that was built in several phases, from the late 1970s to 2000. It spans two school districts, so some students will attend Clarkstown School District, while some will attend East Rampo School District.

There are five communities within the Hamlets, including:

• Treetops - 2-3 bedroom tri-level townhomes built around 1977. They range from 1000 to 1500 square feet, and includes basement and garage. These homes belong to the Clarkstown School District.
• Knolls East, - these townhomes were built in phases, between 1987-1996. There are 2-3 bedroom units ranging from 1200 to over 2000 square feet. Most of the units have a deck, basement, and garage
• Timberline, - built in 1987, these spacious multi-level townhomes ranging from 1-2 bedrooms. The homes have an open layout with lofts and cathedral ceilings. Each unit has a one-car or two-car garage. 
• Vista at Kings Gate - there are 1 and 2 bedroom units at the Vista, ranging from 940 square feet to around 1800 square feet. There are condos on one floor, and there are some in townhouse style on three floors. All homes include an attached garage, and private storage areas.
• Eagle Ridge - townhomes built around 1994 and later, and are the newest homes in the Hamlet. There are 1-3 bedroom units at the Eagle Ridge. The one bedroom units are around 1068-1150 square feet, which includes a den and usually have been converted into a two bedroom, and includes a lower level and a garage. The 2 bedroom 2 bath units are around 1400 square feet, and the three bedroom units range from 1800-2400 square feet.

New York City is only 30 miles away, with train and bus public transportation options available for commuting. The location has very convenient access to the New York Thruway and Palisades Parkway.

The Hamlet is a great location for commuters. They can take the commuter train from the nearby Nanuet or Spring Valley train station, or take the Coach commuter bus, which has bus stops inside the development.
